Boon & Sons trucks run on a 20% biodiesel blend. We are proud of this green initiative. Biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning diesel replacement that is reducing U.S. dependence on foreign petroleum, creating green jobs and improving our environment. Made from an increasingly diverse mix of resources such as agricultural oils, recycled cooking oil and animal fats, it is the only commercial-scale fuel used across the U.S. to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's definition as an advanced biofuel. Its production, distribution and use will support more than 30,000 U.S. jobs in 2011 and replace nearly 1 billion gallons of petroleum diesel. Biodiesel can be used in existing diesel engines and meets strict specifications of ASTM D6751.
The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) is the national trade association representing the biodiesel industry in the United States.

Biodiesel gets my vote. I know some have been questioning how much its use reduces carbon emissions, but I think this misses the point. It is a new technology and will no doubt become far more efficient in carbon emissions reductions as the investment it needs flows into biodiesel technology.

Many countries are already following a green auto campaign and the results are really good. This helps the environment for it does not promote smoke - velching which is harmful to the plants as well as to our health. Keep it up!
